The BioKansas Innovation Festival is a one‑day life‑sciences gathering at the Overland Park Convention Center. The event pairs conference sessions with a judged startup pitch competition and community STEM experiences. According to an event listing, the festival brings together students, professionals and life‑science experts to explore opportunities and innovations in the Kansas and Midwest bioscience ecosystem. It intentionally cross‑pollinates talks and panels during the day with a pitch competition anchored by industry judges in the afternoon and even hosts a “Brewseum” that celebrates the science of fermentation as part of the community programming.
Vivifi took the stage in 2023 and captured the Health Tech Pitch. The outcome was more than a ribbon—it widened our Midwestern network of clinicians, operators and potential manufacturing partners. Those relationships create optionality for multi‑site studies and future scale‑up outside the coasts. Winning at BioKansas validated our technology in a region known for its life‑science talent and offered connections that will inform our clinical and commercial strategy.
