Vivifi will pitch live at The MedTech Conference in Boston on October 20 for the $350,000 Grand Prize

‍

Houston, TX – October 8, 2026 – Vivifi Medical, a medical device company developing a minimally invasive, function-preserving treatment* for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), today announced it has been named a finalist in MedTech Innovator’s (MTI) 2026 Early-Stage Grand Prize competition. The competition is the culmination of the world’s largest accelerator of medical technology companies.

MTI drew 1,835 global applicants for its 2026 Accelerator, which were evaluated by more than 500 subject-matter experts. Sixty-five companies made the cohort, 47 of them early-stage. Four of those 47 advanced to the Early-Stage Grand Prize finals: Feminai, Galenband, Urologic Health, and Vivifi.

As a finalist, Vivifi receives $25,000 in funding and will compete for the $350,000 Early-Stage Grand Prize at The MedTech Conference powered by AdvaMed in Boston. Tushar Sharma, PhD, Founder and CEO, will pitch on Tuesday, October 20, at 3:30 p.m. ET in the Keynote Theater, taking questions from a panel of industry experts from leading medtech companies. The conference audience votes live to select the winner.

BPH affects more than 660 million men worldwide, and in over 100 years there hasn’t been a fundamentally new way to treat it. Current procedures force patients to trade symptom relief for sexual and urinary side effects. Vivifi’s treatment* is designed to address the root cause of the disease, not just the symptoms. The approach is non-surgical, non-urethral, and function-preserving.

The selection builds on Vivifi’s earlier recognition this year. In May, the company joined the MTI 2026 Accelerator Cohort and was named to the inaugural MTI Index. In September, Pepperdine Graziadio named Vivifi one of 14 companies on its 2026 Most Fundable Companies® list, selected from more than 2,100 applicants across all 50 states.

“BPH affects more than 660 million men, and the standard of care still asks them to give something up to get relief. The finals put that problem in front of a room that knows medtech and votes live. We’re looking forward to making our case in Boston.” - Tushar Sharma, CEO of Vivifi Medical
